Prime is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Prime removes chlorine and chloramines. Prime converts ammonia into a safe non toxic form that is readily removed by the tanks bio filter. Prime can be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Prime detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the bio filter to more efficiently remove them.

*Marine Buffer will safely raise Marine (or African Cichlid) pH to 8.3. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Marin Buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, commonly sold as a substitute. Such products can raise pH to dangerous levels if not used properly. Marine Buffer contains sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, and borate. Use a pH and KH test kit to check pH and alkalinity.
This is the exact product as Malawi Buffer as both increase KH and when used full strength (or even overdosed) will not raise pH past 8.2-8.3
This product can be safely used for raising kH (& pH) in freshwater as well and is preferable and safer to baking soda, especially in community aquariums where baking soda can change pH too quickly

 ALKALINE BUFFER 250 gr. (10.6 oz.) - $6.99
Alkaline Buffer™ is a non-phosphate buffer to raise pH and alkalinity (KH) in planted aquariums. Alkaline Buffer raises pH and buffers between 7.2 and 8.5. It is gentle, safe, and enhances the freshwater environment. I recommend this buffer when keeping aquatic plants, or soft water fish such as Discus. Yes, a KH buffer is still important for soft water fish so as to maintain pH stability, however I recommend a method to acid buffer as well to balance the KH such as SeaChem Acid Buffer or my favorite; Bio Lif high potency Almond Leaf (or similar products)
Alkaline Buffer is a straight Buffer, unlike Marine, Malawi, or Tanganyika which have a chemistry to raise the pH to a certain value while increasing KH (when used at full strength)

SeaChem Acid Buffer with proprietary powdered bisulfate salts is a non-phosphate buffer to lower pH and counter buffer meant to work with Alkaline Buffer (for pH stability). Both buffers are designed for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae or cloudiness problem. Acid Buffer lowers pH and buffers between 5.0 and 8.0 when used with Alkaline Buffer. As Acid Buffer lowers pH it converts KH (carbonate alkalinity) into available CO2 for plants.
SeaChem Acid Buffer may also be used to safely lower pH in marine water.

SeaChem Replenish is a proprietary blend of salts designed to replenish important minerals that are removed by reverse osmosis or de-ionizing filtration prior to aquarium use. SeaChem Replenish restores General Hardness (GH) using a balanced blend of both “soft” (sodium, potassium) and “hard” (calcium, magnesium) salts/cations. Restoration of essential minerals is essential since a complete lack of minerals resulting from the use of RO or DI water will result in osmotic stress. Osmotic shock can be a result of a breakdown in osmoregulation due to inappropriate chemical composition of the water. It can also be caused by increased permeability of the skin resulting from a disease or trauma. Osmoregulation enables fish to maintain the proper balance of salt and water in the body, which is necessary to create optimal conditions for various physiological and biochemical processes.
We recommend the use of Sea Chem Replenish (or Wonder Shells for a more constant source of positive mineral ions after initial replenishment) when RO or DI water is used either in part of whole.

*SeaChem Reef Builder™ raises carbonate alkalinity without immediately impacting on pH. With long term use there will be a tendency to stabilize at pH 8.3
*Used as directed, Reef Builder™ will not deplete calcium, magnesium, or strontium which usually tend to precipitate with increasing alkalinity
*We recommend the use of Reef Builder over SeaChem Marine Buffer when pH is not an issue. Since Sea Chem Reef Builder contains the important minor elements; calcium, magnesium, and strontium, it is a preferred product to raise alkalinity as it compensates for the inevitable loss which occurs when raising alkalinity

*SeaChem Reef Iodide™ is a concentrated (8,000 mg/L) stabilized potassium iodide source for reef aquaria that will restore and maintain iodide levels to those found in natural sea water. Unlike competing products, SeaChem Reef Iodide™ is complexed to a stabilizing compound in order to keep it in the iodide form when added to the aquarium. All of the product remains usable and fully bio-available. SeaChem Reef Iodide is formulated to provide a safe source of iodide that will not convert to toxic free iodine under storage or reef conditions. Iodine is as toxic as chlorine and should never be used in a reef system. However, iodide is as safe as chloride.
Most iodine supplements on the market are simply potassium iodide or a medicinal disinfectant commonly known as Lugol’s Solution. Lugol’s is a highly concentrated iodine/iodide solution that is highly toxic and intended for disinfection.
Potassium iodide only products are a safer alternative than Lugol’s Solution however these products are not very effective alone owing to the unstable nature of iodide in the aquarium environment. When added to an aquarium environment, iodide becomes unstable converting to elemental iodine (which is biocidal), iodate (which is useless to corals, toxic at elevated levels, and can't be tested for), and iodide which is the only form of iodine available to corals for uptake.

Reef Calcium is concentrated (50,000 mg/L) bio-available polygluconate complexed calcium intended to maintain calcium in the reef aquarium without altering ph.
Polygluconate coplexation confers several benefits: It increases the bioavailability of calcium, it provides a rich source of metabolic energy to help maintain peak coral growth, and it prevents calcium precipitation/alkalinity depletion. Polygluconate contains no nitrogen or phosphates, thus it is biologically impossible to lead to algae growth in a properly maintained reef system.

Because it is absorbed by the fish it is useful in treating internal infections in those situations where food is refused.  METRONIDAZOLE

*Metronidazole is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirus). It does not adversely affect the filter bed when used as directed and is easily removed with carbon. There is little danger of overdosing. Usual dose is 125 mg/40L (10 US gallons).
*Can be combined with Furan 2 & Kanaplex for parasitic, fungal, & bacterial infections; this duplicates the popular Aquatronics product “Paragon 2” that is no longer available.
 NEOPLEX (Neomycin Sulfate)
Treats 1000-2000 Liters (250-500 gal.) - $6.49
*Sea Chem NeoPlex is a broad spectrum antibiotic effective against most external infections of both marine and freshwater fish. Used as directed, Neomycin will not discolor the water or damage the filter bed. It is well tolerated by invertebrates, although delicate species may be stressed. For use in freshwater or marine aquaria.
*Neomycin is ineffective against fungi, yeast and viruses.
Neomycin is not absorbed by the intestinal tract and is effective in treatment of diseases thereof. But Neomycin can damage the kidneys as it is nephrotoxic when it enters the bloodstream, however since this drug is not readily absorbed in the intestinal tract it is useful for treatment of pathogens such as Intestinal Aeromonas that can lead to Dropsy or similar diseases.
Neomycin is very effective when used in feeding (by soaking foods with Neomycin for about 15 minutes in water prior to feeding) due to the fact that this antibiotic does not get absorbed.
*Use 1 level measure (included) to every 8 L (2 gallons). Repeat once a week for up to three weeks until symptoms disappear.
 PARAGUARD (250 mL- 8.5 oz.) - $7.99

ParaGuard is a fish and filter safe aldehyde based parasite control product (for parasites on fish)
Unlike toxic and sometimes difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH. ParaGuard employs a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green and fish protective polymers that effectively and efficiently eradicates many ectoparasites (Ich, etc.) and external fungal/ bacterial/ viral lesions (such as fin rot or secondary infections).
ParaGuard is especially useful in hospital or receiving tanks for new fish and whenever new fish are introduced into a community tank.
As well ParaGuard can be combined with Kanaplex and Nitrofuarzone (Furan 2) for a potent treatment for some stubborn fungal infections (such as Ichthyophonus) or even Angelfish Virus (AKA Angelfish Aids).
